Sorry but how people are ignoring the main crux of the Daily Star article today is truly amazing. Especially as we have had one Daily Star reporter spill the beans at the Leveson Inquiry.
Yes Richard Peppiatt told the Leveson Inquiry that the Star made up Headlines. You can read the post here. So who thinks they would risk doing it again? Well to be honest those that don’t want to accept that Madeleine McCann was taken from Apartment 5A on the 3rd May 2007 in Praia da Luz whilst on holiday with her family.
The Daily Star reported the following today:
POLICE have finally admitted Madeleine McCann was abducted four years ago.
Her parents Kate and Gerry had fought authorities to accept she was snatched from their holiday apartment in Portugal.
But only now have detectives put in writing that her case is one of abduction.
The Met at first refused to release paperwork under the Freedom of Information Act on the grounds it would “adversely harm the investigation”.
The Daily Star obtained their information by Freedom of Information Request. Initially their request was denied but they successfully won their appeal and the information was released by the Met Police.
No paper wants to go the way of the News of the World and no paper would falsely alleged something as crucial as this, especially during the Leveson Inquiry.
So stop kidding yourselves that the article is Mitchell spin, it isn’t because if necessary the Daily Star will have the paperwork to back up their claims.
As far as I am concerned, this is a crucial piece of information and categorically states that Madeleine McCann WAS abducted from apartment 5A and her parents and their friends are NOT involved.
